Santa Barbara Consignment, the Attic and Alchemy Estate Sales were started over 20 years ago by Susan Margaret and Jennifer Pacella.  A proud women owned business, Susan and Jennifer started in Santa Barbara with the first true furniture and antique consignment store which grew to 3 stores in Santa Barbara and Summerland.    Over the years many hundreds of hours researching and appraising personal property gave them an extensive and unique perspective on how to price and the psychology of shoppers.   

Alchemy Estate Sales was born of necessity from customers requesting this service.    Alchemy has held some esteemed sales for celebrities, ultra wealthy, and every day folks like themselves, from every walk of life.

Alchemy prides themselves on honesty, integrity, and respect with a caring touch.  We understand that there are a variety of reasons you need to hold a sale and we are sensitive to your needs in this difficult time.

We take great pride in staging your items.  That means cleaning, decorating and pricing as much as possible, unlike many other companies who open their doors and do not attempt to price anything ahead of time.

We have many years of experience and hundreds upon hundreds of hours appraising and pricing items.  We know how to price items to move in 2-4 days, and get you the maximum possible return.  Our commission rates range from 35% to 50% depending on the size of the estate and the volume of items.  Most accepted sales fall around 35-40%.   We handle all of the social media, all advertising, we have over 3000 people on our personal email list, 2000 followers on Facebook and Instagram.  We stage and photograph in great detail to stir up excitement surrounding the sale.   We are a results driven company.
